As such, The Great Allentown Fair Foundation can receive tax-deductible donations from individuals, corporations and other organizations and will focus on providing agriculturally-centric educational opportunities and scholarships.

We Since 2019, we’ve distributed over $36,000 in scholarships to 23 students and 
over $34,000 of improvement costs to Allentown’s historic fairgrounds

The mission of The Great Allentown Fair Foundation is to provide philanthropic opportunities through grants and charitable donations to preserve, enrich, and advance agriculture. Through scholarships, educational programs, incentives and events, the The Great Allentown Fair Foundation supports The Great Allentown Fair and programs of the Lehigh County Agricultural Society.

The Great Allentown Fair Foundation accepts donations—and distributes funds—in the following categories:

• Agricultural Education, which includes:
• Scholarship Fund: awards scholarships of varying amounts to high school seniors pursuing agriculture at a college-level institution.
  For donors interested in endowing a perpetual scholarship in accordance with the Great Allentown Fair Foundation’s mission, please contact one of our trustees to learn more about an endowing a scholarship that fulfills your needs and preferences.
• General Education Fund: awards non college-level monies which are applied to agricultural education through community partnerships like  The Rodale Institute and programs like Ag Educational Day by the Lehigh County Agricultural Society to educate our urban youth and the community at large in the sciences of agriculture, horticulture, farm-to-table programs and product.
• Special Fairs Fund: To support special events at The Great Allentown Fair during the Nation’s Semiquincentennial (aka America 250) in 2026 and the 175 ^th Fair in 2027. For full details, please visit our  Special Fairs Fund page.
• Capital Projects Fund: distributes monies to the Lehigh County Agricultural Society and preservation of the Allentown Fairgrounds’ historical value, heritage and evolution.
• General Fund: distributes monies as deemed appropriate as designated by the Great Allentown Fair Foundation Board.
