The Great Allentown Fair Foundation is pleased to offer multiple avenues to support agricultural education, including: 

Scholarship Fund: to award scholarships of varying amounts to high school seniors pursuing agriculture at a college-level institution.

General Education Fund: to award non college-level monies which are applied toward agricultural education through community partnerships like The Rodale Institute and programs like Ag Educational Day by the Lehigh County Agricultural Society to educate our urban youth and the community at large in the sciences of agriculture, horticulture, farm-to-table programs and product.

The Great Allentown Fair Foundation is now accepting applications for high school seniors interested in pursuing the field of agriculture at college-level education in the upcoming 2024-2025 term. Applicants are encouraged to download and complete the Scholarship Application Form shown on this page. Once complete, it can be uploaded to us using the form below
(please note the 25MB file size limit).
Applications for 2024-2025 Scholarships will be due
before 5:00 pm on Friday, June 28, 2024

Recipients will be announced on Education Night at The Great Allentown Fair.

THE GREENAWALD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (various amounts)
Dedicated to the memory of William F. and Patricia Greenawald. William F. Greenawald was an ardent supporter of The Great Allentown Fair, serving on the Board, the Executive Committee, Secretary, Vice-President at the time of his death. The Scholarship was established by his wife Patricia and their four children.

Eligible recipients must:

    • Be a graduate of an accredited high school or vocational school, and;
    • Have been accepted for admission by an accredited 4-year or 2-year educational or vocational institution that offers an agricultural curriculum, and;
    • Have demonstrated scholarship ability, leadership qualities and involvement in student or community activities, and;
    • Have exhibited at least one competitive entry in The Great Allentown (Pennsylvania) Fair

THE GREAT ALLENTOWN FAIR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS (various amounts)

Eligible recipients must:

    • Be a graduate of an accredited high school or vocational school, and;
    • Have been accepted for admission by an accredited 4-year or 2-year educational or vocational institution that offers an agricultural curriculum, and;
    • Have demonstrated scholarship ability, leadership qualities and involvement in student or community activities

    Pennsylvania residents within Berks, Lehigh and Northampton Counties
    for courses offered through the Rodale Institute Virtual Campus

    Candidates are required to complete all fields of the form below including the brief explanation for their interest to be submitted for the committee’s review and consideration. Upon receipt, review and approval, The Great Allentown Fair Foundation notify candidates of eligibility and then issue a payment code for the candidate to apply toward the cost of class registration.
