Celebrating our nation’s semiquincentennial (America 250) in 2026 and the 175th Fair in 2027!
CELEBRATING TWO IMPORTANT MILESTONES IN 2026 AND 2027
The Great Allentown Fair will be celebrating two significant milestones: in 2026, the Fair will honor the Nation’s Semiquincentennial (aka America 250), followed by the 175 th Fair in 2027, marking a historic moment for the Lehigh County Agricultural Society (LCAS) and the community it has served for generations. Plans are currently underway for a variety of special events, attractions, and entertainment designed to enhance the Fair’s traditional offerings, while celebrating agricultural education and heritage, as well as community.

The Great Allentown Fair Foundation, the Great Allentown Fair’s affiliated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is leading efforts to support special programming connected to the America 250 celebration in 2026 and The Great Allentown Fair’s 175 th anniversary in 2027. Through the Special Fairs Fund, the Foundation will help enhance educational exhibits, historical storytelling, community programming, and commemorative experiences that align with the Fair’s mission of agriculture, education, heritage, and community engagement.

2026
CELEBRATING our nation’s Semiquincentennial |America 250
The 2026 Great Allentown Fair (September 2-7, 2026) will feature a patriotic agenda in recognition of America’s 250 th birthday.
The theme, Something Old, Something New, Forever Red, White & Blue, will be reflected through historical exhibits, educational programming, military appreciation elements, commemorative displays, and other meaningful experiences for fairgoers of all ages. Highlights will include a performance by one of the world-famous Mummers string bands, (a division of The Philadelphia Mummers String Band Association), an exhibit on Camp Crane (the U.S. Army Ambulance Corps installation housed at the Fairgrounds from 1917-1918), and a huge birthday cake.
2027
CELEBRATING 175 YEARS OF THE GREAT ALLENTOWN FAIR
In 2027, The Great Allentown Fair will commemorate the 175 th anniversary of its founding in 1852.
While planning is still in progress, this milestone year is expected to promote the Fair’s long-standing legacy through enhanced exhibits, special attractions, historical storytelling, and other memorable experiences.
Highlights under consideration include a laser light or drone show, special acrobatic or animal performances, and free souvenir giveaways, just to name a few.

To make these milestone events memorable for all involved, the Great Allentown Fair Foundation is seeking tax-deductible contributions to the Special Fairs Fund to support these efforts. Please do your part to make the 2026-2027 Great Allentown Fairs unforgettable!
